Ford Transit, Custom, Connect and Courier: identify your model
Transit is often used as a general term, but Transit, Transit Custom, Transit Connect and Transit Courier are separate vehicle families. A search for “Transit door” is therefore too broad.
Use the VIN and full model name
Check the registration, VIN and identification plate. Badges can be removed or replaced, so vehicle data is more reliable than size alone.
Record the generation, model year and facelift.
Size helps but does not prove the model
Courier and Connect generally sit in more compact classes, Custom between compact and large, and Transit in the larger range. Exact dimensions vary.
Use the L/H code, wheelbase, roof height and door type to narrow the choice.
Verify the individual part
Compare OE number, side, glazing, connectors, sensors and mounting points. For lighting, check lamp technology and connector.
Provide the VIN and photos if there is any doubt.
