Create a fleet parts register with OEM and paint codes
Managing several vans often means looking up the same details repeatedly. A central parts register containing vehicle specification, paint code and previously confirmed OE numbers speeds up future repairs and reduces mix-ups.
Create a standard record for every vehicle
Record internal fleet number, VIN, registration, make, model, generation, production date, engine, wheelbase, L/H size, door configuration and paint code. Store sensitive details securely and never publish VINs openly.
Document confirmed part characteristics
Record OE number, fitting side, connector, pins, module version and special functions for commonly needed mirrors, lights and doors. Add clear photos of the data plate, paint label and markings on the original part.
Update after every repair
Log the ordered part, supplier, date, fitment result, transferred components and any differences. Use version control and assign ownership so that old or unconfirmed numbers are not reused as facts.

- Paint code stored with its source
